Former Tar Heel Rachel Dawson earned her 150th cap with the U.S. National Field Hockey Team on Sunday as she helped the squad to a 9-0 win over Cuba and a spot in the semifinals at the Pan American Games.
"It is always a privilege to play the sport you love for your country and to be able to do it 150 times is just amazing," Dawson said. "To reach a milestone like this in such a big tournament is such an honor."
Dawson was the 2007 National Player of the Year at UNC and led Carolina to NCAA and ACC championships as a senior.
