UNC Gaining From Preseason Workouts

With two days of preseason workouts down, the UNC field hockey team is working hard to prepare for its season opener on Aug. 25 against Michigan. Heading into the Friday's practice, Carolina coach Karen Shelton talked with GoHeels.com about her team's progress so far.

On Saturday, UNC departs for a team retreat in the North Carolina mountains. The student-athletes and staff will return to Chapel Hill on Monday, ready to once again work hard with all eyes on the 2012 season.
