September 18, 2012 | Field Hockey
Sophomore Charlotte Craddock has been honored as the Atlantic Coast Conference Field Hockey Player of the Week after she scored three goals in the Tar Heels' two wins.
On Friday against No. 8 Old Dominion, she scored the third goal in UNC's 3-2 win over the visiting Lady Monarchs.
On Sunday at Wake Forest, she had both goals in a 2-1 win over the No. 13 Demon Deacons.
Craddock, a forward from Wolverhampton, England, is the third Tar Heel honored by the ACC this season. Senior Jaclyn Gaudioso Radvany was the ACC Player of the Week for the first week of the season and sophomore Samantha Travers shared Player of the Week honors on Sept. 11.
Next up for top-ranked Carolina (7-1) is the ACC opener on Friday evening at Duke. UNC's next home game is Sunday against Stanford. The 1 p.m. game will be broadcast on ESPN3.
