Tar Heels Set For Final Home Game Of Regular Season

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. - The North Carolina field hockey team, 12-2 and ranked second in this week's national poll, will host Longwood Wednesday for the final home matchup of the regular season. Game time at Francis E. Henry Stadium is 6 p.m. and there is no charge for admission.
The Tar Heels have won their last four games since losing twice in a row, with both defeats coming in overtime. UNC beat No. 7 Boston College 5-2 on Saturday and Davidson 10-0 on Sunday.
The Lancers are 6-10 on the season coming off a 5-0 victory against Radford on Sunday.
After Wednesday's game, Carolina will play three road games to wrap up the regular season. UNC travels to Norfolk, Va., this weekend to play No. 4 Connecticut Saturday and No. 10 Old Dominion Sunday, then finishes out the season with a trip to play No. 3 Syracuse, in its first season as a member of the Atlantic Coast Conference, on Nov. 2. The ACC Tournament is set for Nov. 7, 8 and 10 at Boston College.
