After four road games to kick off the fall, the top-ranked UNC field hockey team opens the home portion of its 2013 schedule this weekend against a pair of non-conference rivals from Virginia. On Friday, the Tar Heels host No. 15 Old Dominion for a 6 p.m. game at Francis E. Henry Stadium. On Sunday, Radford comes to Chapel Hill for a 1 p.m. game.
There is no charge for admission to either game.
The Tar Heels (4-0) are facing their third ranked opponent in a row, following wins last weekend over No. 9 Michigan and No. 13 Iowa.
Sophomores Nina Notman and Casey Di Nardo lead the team with three goals each. A total of 14 Tar Heels have scored at least one goal over the season's first four games. Sophomore Emily Wold leads the team in assists with six.
