Tar Heels Host Final Regular Season Games At Henry

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. - The UNC field hockey team, ranked No. 1 in the nation for the seventh week, will close out its regular-season home schedule this weekend with a pair of games. On Saturday, the Tar Heels host No. 11 Wake Forest for an Atlantic Coast Conference matchup, and on Sunday Pacific visits Francis E. Henry Stadium. Both games are set for 1 p.m. and there is no charge for admission.
UNC and Wake Forest met on Oct. 9 in Winston-Salem, N.C., for a non-conference matchup, which the Tar Heels won 2-1 in overtime. Regular season conference play wraps up on Saturday and the ACC Tournament bracket will be announced on Saturday afternoon.
On Sunday, the Tar Heels meet the Pacific Tigers for just the second time in school history. UNC will celebrate Senior Day, honoring five student-athletes making their last regular-season appearances at Henry Stadium. Sassi Ammer, Charlotte Craddock, Abby Frey, Loren Shealy and Samantha Travers will be recognized prior to the game.
After that the Tar Heels close out the season with a game at Old Dominion on Nov. 2 then look ahead to the ACC Tournament Nov. 6, 7 and 9 at Duke.
