Tar Heels Named To Junior National Squads

Kristy Bernatchez, Emma Bozek, Lauren Moyer and Julia Young were selected for the U-21 team. Bernatchez (Belgrade, Maine), Moyer (York, Pa.) and Young (Yorktown, Va.) are rising sophomores at UNC. Bozek (Cortlandt Manor, N.Y.) is a rising junior.
Gab Major, who will be a freshman at UNC this fall, was named to the U-19 team. She is from Royersford, Pa., and had previously played for the U-19 team, as well as the U-17 squad.
The 2014-15 U.S. Junior Women's National squads were announced on July 11 following a four-day Junior National Camp. A total of 112 players earned invitations to the camp based on their performances in the U-21 National Championship, Futures Elite Championship and/or National Futures Championship.
