CHAPEL HILL, N.C. - The North Carolina volleyball team remained at No. 12 in the latest AVCA Coaches Poll, released Monday.
The Tar Heels (10-2, 1-1) split their first weekend of ACC play. UNC fell 3-0 last Friday against Florida State on the road, before returning home and sweeping Syracuse in Carmichael Arena on Sunday. Paige Neuenfeldt led Carolina on the weekend with 14 kills and eight blocks in the two matches.
The Florida State Seminoles moved up one spot in the rankings to No. 5 after defeating No. 12 UNC and Notre Dame this weekend at home. Duke reentered the polls at No. 25, giving the ACC three teams in the Top 25 for the first time since the Sept. 8.
Carolina will hit the road again this weekend as they travel to two strong ACC programs. The Tar Heels will face Pittsburgh (13-1, 1-0) this Friday. The Panthers defeated Boston College 3-0 to open their ACC schedule.
North Carolina will then travel down to Clemson (11-3, 0-1) to face the Tigers, who are coming off a loss to Virginia.
