Game Time Adjusted For UNC-Virginia Matchup

UNC's field hockey game at Virginia on Friday has been moved up two hours to start at 4 p.m. ,based on the weather forecast in Charlottesville. The third-ranked Tar Heels and the fourth-ranked Cavaliers will face off at Turf Field in a key Atlantic Coast Conference battle.
Both teams are 2-1 in ACC play, with each having suffered a loss at No. 2 Syracuse. Virginia is 8-1 overall and UNC is 9-1.
The Tar Heels are led in scoring by senior Emily Wold, who has nine goals and five assists. She leads the ACC in points (23) and goals this season. Tara Vittese leads Virginia in goals with seven in the team's nine games.
Following the trip to Charlottesville, the Tar Heels' next game is Friday, Oct. 9, when they host Longwood at Francis E. Henry Stadium.
