CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – The third-ranked North Carolina field hockey team opens play in the 2015 Atlantic Coast Conference Championship on Thursday with a matchup against sixth-seeded Louisville. Game time is 4 p.m. at University Hall Turf Field in Charlottesville, Va.

UNC is 15-2 on the season, and Louisville is 13-5. The two met earlier this season in Chapel Hill, when Carolina won 5-0 on Sept. 18. The matchup was UNC's first home game of the season after opening with six road games.

The Tar Heels have won 18 conference titles, the most recent in 2012.
