Five Tar Heels To Represent The U.S. In New Zealand

Five former Tar Heel field hockey players have been selected to represent the U.S. at the 8 Nations Tournament in New Zealand April 11-19. Jackie (Kintzer) Briggs, Rachel Dawson, Katelyn Falgowski, Kelsey Kolojejchick and Caitlin Van Sickle all are part of the 18-player roster for the event.
All eight competing teams are in the top 13 in the FIH World Rankings. The U.S. will take on second-ranked Australia in a practice match April 9 and then again in the opening game on April 11. Other teams in the field are Argentina, China, India, Japan, Korea and host New Zealand.
