Nine Tar Heels Invited To Young Women's National Champs

The UNC field hockey team has added another scrimmage to its spring schedule and will host Liberty on Friday at 6 p.m. at Francis E. Henry Stadium. The Tar Heels will wrap up the spring on Saturday with a scrimmage against a team of alums. That game is set for 1 p.m. at Henry.

“We've had a great spring,” UNC coach Karen Shelton said. “I've seen a lot of enthusiasm and hard work, and we've laid a strong foundation for the fall. Adding another game against a program like Liberty will help us improve even more.

“And then Saturday's game against the alums will be a lot of fun, as always. Our players come back all year, but this provides an occasion for more of them to gather at once. It's always great to see them and we're looking forward to wrapping up the spring on a high note.”
