Four Tar Heels On Pan Am Roster, Wold Picked As Alternate
June 29, 2015 | Field Hockey
Former UNC players make up a quarter of the 16-player U.S. roster for the Pan American Games, as announced recently by USA Field Hockey. Jackie (Kintzer) Briggs, Rachel Dawson, Katelyn Falgowski and Kelsey Kolojejchick will represent the U.S. in Toronto July 13-25.
Additionally, rising UNC senior Emily Wold has been named one of two alternates to the team.
The U.S. is the defending champion in the event, having topped Argentina for the gold medal in 2011 in Guadalajara, Mexico. Dawson and Falgowski were members of that team.
The winner in Toronto earns a spot in the 2016 Olympic Games field.
