Nine Tar Heels Invited To Young Women's National Champs

Nine members of the North Carolina field hockey team are among 106 players who have been invited to compete in the 2015 USA Field Hockey Young Women's National Championship, set for June 22-26 in Lancaster, Pa. The competition will serve as the selection venue for the 2015-16 U.S. Under-21 National Team.
Tar Heels Kristy Bernatchez, Emma Bozek, Austyn Cuneo, Ashley Hoffman, Shannon Johnson, Gab Major, Lauren Moyer, Sam Night and Julia Young all received invitations.
Bozek will be a senior in 2015; Bernatchez, Johnson, Moyer, and Young will be juniors; Major and Night will be sophomores and Cuneo and Hoffman will be freshmen. Bernatchez, Bozek, Hoffman, Moyer and Young are members of the 2014-15 U-21 team and Cuneo and Major are on the U-19 team.
