Tar Heels To Represent U.S. At Junior Pan Am Games

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – Four members of the North Carolina field hockey team have been named to the squad that will represent the U.S. at the 2016 Junior Pan-American Games. Ashley Hoffman, Gab Major, Lauren Moyer and Julia Young are among the 18 players named to the roster. Additionally, Tar Heel Kristy Bernatchez was named as an alternate to the team.
Bernatchez, Moyer and Young will be seniors this fall, Major a junior and Hoffman a sophomore.
The team was selected following a training camp held in Chapel Hill last weekend. The Under-21 team will train at UNC again in early March.
The competition is set for March 29-April 10 in Trinidad & Tobago.
