UNC Faces Two Ranked Opponents In New England This Wekend

The UNC field hockey team, ranked No. 3 nationally, will spend the weekend in New England with a pair of road games against ranked teams. The Tar Heels (5-1 overall, 1-0 ACC) take on No. 18 Boston College on Friday in Newton, Mass., then travel to play at No. 20 Maine on Sunday.
Friday's game, the Eagles' home opener at Newton Field Hockey Complex, begins at 3 p.m. BC is 2-3 overall and 0-1 in ACC play on the season. The Tar Heels are the fifth ranked opponent that the Eagles have played in the season's first six games.
On Sunday, the Tar Heels play at Maine in a homecoming for senior Kristy Bernatchez, who is from Belgrade, Maine. The Black Bears are 5-1 heading into a game Friday against Bryant. Sunday's game time at the UMaine Field Hockey Complex is 11 a.m.
