Ten Tar Heels Named to All-EAGL Scholastic Team

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. — Just ahead of the 2018 EAGL Championship, the East Atlantic Gymnastics League announced its All-EAGL Scholastic Team for the 2017 calendar year. A total of 83 gymnasts were recognized for maintaining a GPA of at least 3.0 after the 2017 calendar year GPA. Freshmen are eligible with Fall 2017 semester grades only.
A total of ten Tar Heel gymnasts made the all-conference scholastic roster. All four of Carolina's senior student-athletes (Kaitlynn Hedelund, Morgan Lane, Madison Nettles, Lauren Weisel) made the cut while four sophomores (Jamie Antinori, Khazia Hislop, Emma Marchese, Mikayla Williams) joined them in the list of honorees. Junior Jamie DeCicco and freshman Lauren Graham were also named to the All-EAGL Scholastic Team for their success in the classroom.
In ten days, the six EAGL competitors will face off in the EAGL Championship meet on Saturday, March 24th at 2:00 p.m. EST in SECU Arena in Towson, Md.
