Carolina picked up its ninth win of the year at Virginia Tech this week.
Tar Heels Set To Visit No. 6 Notre Dame Sunday

• Third-ranked North Carolina (9-2, 2-1 Atlantic Coast Conference) will hope to win its 10th game of the year when it visits ninth-ranked Notre Dame (9-2, 2-1 ACC) on Sunday at 1 p.m. at Arlotta Stadium in Notre Dame, Ind.
• The Tar Heels are ranked No. 3 in the IWLCA poll and No. 4 in the Inside Lacrosse D1 Media poll this week. The Fighting Irish are No. 9 in the coaches poll and No. 6 in the media poll.
• The ACC Network Extra will stream the game live.Â
• Carolina is coming off a 19-5 win at No. 21 Virginia Tech on Wednesday. Jamie Ortega (five goals, two assists) and Katie Hoeg (four goals, four assists) led the way for the Tar Heels in the victory.
• UNC is playing the second of three consecutive road games on Sunday. Four of Carolina's last five ACC regular season games will be on the road. Carolina's lone remaining scheduled home game will be on April 13 vs. Syracuse.
SERIES HISTORY VS. NOTRE DAME
• Carolina leads the all-time series with Notre Dame, 8-0, including a 7-0 UNC advantage since the Fighting Irish joined the ACC prior to the 2014 season.Â
• UNC is 5-0 against Notre Dame in Chapel Hill, 2-0 at Notre Dame and 5-0 vs. the Fighting Irish in the regular season.
• In 2018, UNC won, 13-12, over the Irish in Chapel Hill.
• In 2017, UNC won, 16-9, at Notre Dame. In 2016, Carolina beat the Fighting Irish, 14-8, in the regular season and 10-6 in the NCAA Tournament quarterfinals. Both games were played at Fetzer Field in Chapel Hill.Â
• In 2015, the Tar Heels beat the Irish in South Bend and in the ACC Tournament semifinals in Charlottesville, Va. Carolina also beat Notre Dame in their first ACC meeting in Chapel Hill in 2014.

• Jamie Ortega scored a season-high six goals to lead the fifth-ranked North Carolina women's lacrosse team a come-from-behind, 13-12 win over No. 22 Notre Dame at Kenan Stadium.Â
• Carolina outscored the Fighting Irish, 11-6, in the second half after trailing, 6-2, at halftime. The Tar Heels went on an 11-3 run coming out of the locker room to take a 13-9 lead with 7:11 to go before allowing the Irish to score three in a row to make it close in the final minutes.
• Katie Hoeg finished with two goals and two assists for the Tar Heels, who also got two goals and one assist from Kara Klages and a goal and two assists from Ela Hazar. Maggie Bill had two assists, while Marie McCool and Taylor McDaniels each scored once.
HOEG MOVES INTO 2ND PLACE IN UNC HISTORY IN ASSISTS
• Junior attacker Kate Hoeg is one of the top playmakers in UNC history and already ranks second in Tar Heel history in assists.
• Hoeg had four goals and four assists in Wednesday's win at Virginia Tech and enters Sunday's game vs. Notre Dame with 93 career assists. Ela Hazar (2015-18) is Carolina's career assist leader with 121.
• Hoeg passed Becky Lynch (92) in the win at Virginia Tech.
