Carolina Travels To Raleigh For Battle With NC State

The North Carolina women's basketball team looks for its fourth win in a row and third straight road victory Sunday when the Tar Heels make the short trip to Raleigh to face off with fourth-ranked NC State.

UNC is 11-8 overall and 6-8 in ACC play coming off a 77-64 win at Clemson on Thursday night. The Tar Heels beat the Wolfpack on Feb. 7 in Chapel Hill then won 81-72 last Sunday at Pitt leading up to the win over the Tigers.
NC State is 14-2 overall and 9-2 in ACC play, with this season's losses coming at Virginia Tech and at Carolina.

• The Tar Heels and Wolfpack are meeting for the 113th time in a series that dates back to the 1974-75 season, Carolina's first as a varsity program under the umbrella of the UNC Department of Athletics. NC State leads the series 59-53 and has won eight of the past 12 meetings.
• The teams split last year's games, with each winning on its own home court.
• They also split in 2018-19, but the venues were reversed with each winning on the road.
• In the last meeting in Raleigh, on Jan. 26, 2020, NC State won 76-68. Center Elissa Cunane led the Wolfpack with 22 points and 17 rebounds.
