Heels Place 24th at NCAA Men's Championships

GREENSBORO, N.C. - The North Carolina Men's Swimming & Diving team finished 24th at the 2021 NCAA Championships held at the Greensboro Aquatic Center.Â
On the final day of the four-day event, Carolina had four swimmers compete in preliminary events. Senior Valdas Abaliksta, who earned honorable mention All-America honors in the 100-yard breaststroke, clocked in with a time of 1:53.58 in the 200 breast to finish 18th on Saturday.Â
Tomas Sungaila and Jack Messenger finished 33rd and 47th in the 200 free, respectively, while Boyd Poelke was 43rd in the 200 butterfly.
