CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – The No. 1 University of North Carolina women's lacrosse team will hit the road for the first time this season as it begins Atlantic Coast Conference action at Virginia Tech on Friday, Feb. 24. First draw is set for 7 p.m. ET at Thompson Field in Blacksburg, Va.
The game will be aired on ACC Network with Sheehan Stanwick Burch and Jay Alter on call, marking UNC's second of its nation-leading eight nationally-televised broadcasts.
Heading into Friday's contest, North Carolina has…
Leading the way for Carolina is Reilly Casey who has recorded a hat trick in each game so far this season. She owns a team-high nine goals, seven assists and 16 points followed by Caitlyn Wurzburger with 13 points (seven goals, six assists).
Rookie Marissa White has eight goals and one assist on the young season, becoming the first UNC freshman to tally nine points in their first three collegiate games since Jamie Ortega in 2018.
