Volleyball Drops Match To No. 10 SMU

DALLAS, Texas – North Carolina volleyball (18-5, 10-4 ACC) fell on the road to No. 10 SMU (19-6, 11-3 ACC) on Sunday, Nov. 10.
The Tar Heels used a 4-0 run in the first set to cut into the deficit before falling 25-22.
In the third set, a 7-0 run by Carolina helped it grab a 17-9 lead. The Tar Heels would use that to win the third set 25-16 to avoid a sweep.
The fourth and final set was back and forth until the very end when the Mustangs used a 5-0 run to close the set and the match out.
NOTABLES:
The Tar Heels now head to Notre Dame for a match on Friday Nov. 15 at 6:00 PM.

- With two service aces, Mabrey Shaffmaster passed Dawn Wood (1983-86) for fifth all-time.
- Zoe Behrendt have recorded double-digit assists for the 35th consecutive game dating back to last season.
- Taylor Eisert and Behrendt have each recorded double-digit assists for 10 straight matches.
- Lauren Schutter had a career-high six kills and four blocks.
The Tar Heels now head to Notre Dame for a match on Friday Nov. 15 at 6:00 PM.
