McGovern Tabbed ACC Offensive Player Of The Week

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – North Carolina men's lacrosse attackman Logan McGovern has been named the Atlantic Coast Conference's Offensive Player of the Week, the league announced Tuesday morning.
The weekly honor is McGovern's first from the conference, becoming the first Tar Heel since Chris Gray in 2022 to be named Offensive Player of the Week.
On Saturday in the win over No. 2 Duke, McGovern fueled the Carolina offense, with three goals and four assists, also adding three ground balls in the winning effort.
The Darien, Conn. product had six-or-more points for the fourth time this season, and was one of two Tar Heels with a first half hat trick against the Blue Devils. McGovern recorded a point for the 28th-straight contest, as well as his 61st career game with a point.
On the season, McGovern has 25 goals and 29 points while appearing and starting in all 14 games for Carolina. McGovern leads the Tar Heels in assists and tied for the team leader in points, as well as being second in goals.
