Carolina Caps Off Impressive ACC Outdoor Championship Weekend

ATLANTA, GA – After three days of competition, the North Carolina Track and Field team saw four race winners and placed four others on the podium.Â

The men's team finished in second place with a total of 102 points while the women's team placed 13th with 19 points.
Carolina will shift its focus to the NCAA East Preliminary round beginning May 22nd.

- Â Skylar Bohlman finished in 10th place with a throw of 45.67m.
- The relay team finished in seventh place with a time of 42.00 seconds.Â
- Sydney Banks tied for 15th with a high mark of 5'-6''
- Spencer Williams placed 6th with a mark of 51.86m.
- Brayden Radhuber placed 14th with a throw of 46.86m.
- Tyler Mayerhoff placed 17th with a distance of 41.51m.
- Ethan Strand won the 1500m race with a time of 3:40.43.
- Strand is only the second Tar Heel to ever win back-to-back 1500m ACC Championships, the other being Ralph King in 1977 and 1978.
- Â Blaise Atkinson finished fifth in the 110m hurdles with a time of 14.04.
- Â Aaliyah Berry finished eighth with a time of 13.86 seconds.
- Andrew Regnier placed eighth with a time of 1:52.20.
- Makayla Paige finished in second with a time of 2:04.07.
- Craig Saddler II defended his title with a time of 49.82.
- Saddler is the third Tar Heel to repeat as champion of the 400m hurdles since 2013, following RJ Alowonle and Kenny Salmon.
- Blaise Atkinson finished fifth with a time of 51.62 seconds.
- Parker Wolfe won the 5000m with a time of 13:19.38.
- Wolfe's time was a new meet record.
- Wolfe is the first Tar Heel to win the outdoor 5,000m since Jim Farmer in 1988, making him only the third Tar Heel to achieve this feat.
- Wolfe is the first Tar Heel to ever win five ACC Championships in one academic year.Â
- Alex Phillip finished in second with a time of 13:34.11.
- Phillip's time was a new personal best.
- Ethan Strand finished in fifth place with a time of 13:44.90.
- Colton Sands placed 13th with a mark of 13:56.51
- Will Coogan finished 15th with a time of 13:59.68
- Jake Gebhardt placed 22nd with a time of 14:06.88
- Patrick Anderson placed 31st with a time of 14:28.86
- Fatima Alanis finished eighth with a time of 16:04.49.
- Her time was a new personal best.
- Ava Dobson finished 14th with a season-best time of 16:16.71.
- North Carolina finished seventh with a time of 3:09.02.
- The Tar Heels finished in sixth place with a time of 3:38.66.
