Eleven Women’s Soccer Players Land On All-ACC Academic Team

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – Eleven members of the North Carolina women's soccer national championship team were named to the 2024 All-Atlantic Coast Conference Academic Team, as announced by the league on Wednesday afternoon.
The Tar Heels earning the academic honor include Aven Alvarez, Trinity Armstrong, Maddie Dahlien, Tessa Dellarose, Makenna Dominguez, Emerson Elgin, Kate Faasse, Bella Gaetino, Ashley Pennie, Bella Sember and Linda Ullmark.
Academic requirements for selection to the All-ACC Academic Team are a 3.0 grade-point average for the previous semester and a 3.0 cumulative average during one's academic career. Additionally, student-athletes must compete in at least 50 percent of their team's contests.
Dahlien, Dellarose, Elgin, Faasse and Sember received All-ACC Academic Team recognition for the third time in their career.

In December, the Tar Heels won their 23rd national title and first since 2012. UNC has now won 22 of the 43 NCAA titles in history, plus the 1981 AIAW title for 23 total national championships. No other women's soccer team owns more than four.
