Jack Purrington

Jack Purrington joined the UNC field hockey staff in the fall of 2014 as a volunteer assistant coach.
A native of York, England, he is a student at Bournemouth University, studying sport psychology and coaching sciences. After spending the 2014-15 school year at UNC, he will return to England and will complete his degree in 2016.Purrington is in the midst of a successful career as a player and was named MVP for the Bournemouth University 1st team for 2014. He has played for the City of York Men's 1st team after competing at various lower levels and also has been selected to compete for his Regional Junior Performance Centre. In addition to playing, for the past four years he has coached various age groups in England and also during time in Kenya. In the spring of 2014 he completed his England Hockey Level 2 Coaching Qualification.
