General -- One of the best defenders in the college game who was the defensive MVP of the 2006 College Cup...three-year starter for Carolina who was a tri-captain of the `06 squad...member of the full Canadian National Team who will miss the first month of the season while playing for Canada in the 2007 World Cup in China...started the second half of her freshman year at the holding center midfield position and as a junior was the fulltime starter for the Tar Heels at the right back spot on defense...went on to start 22 games in 2006 shifting between the defense and the midfield...says she is one of the fiercest tacklers Dorrance has ever coached...Dorrance cites her acceleration and explosiveness as keys to making her game an outstanding one.
National Team -- Was elevated to a spot on the full Canadian National Team in 2006...has earned a spot on the roster to compete for the Canadians in the 2007 World Cup in China...was a member of Canadian U19 National Team from 2002-06...that team was a finalist at the 2002 U19 Championships in Canada, falling to the U.S. in the championship match on a goal by former UNC teammate Lindsay Tarpley...also played for Canada's U19 National Team at the 2004 World Championship in Thailand which caused her to miss the last weeks of the season with the Tar Heels...captained Under-17 Ontario provincial team.
Carolina Campus Activities - Member of Carolina's Student Athlete Advisory Committee...volunteers with the Carolina Dreams program...has been active in the Carolina Leadership Academy as a "rising star" and a "veteran leader."
Junior Season (2006) -- Team captain...started 22 games and has two goals and two assists...scored a goal against Yale and was named the defensive MVP of the East Coast Invitational...also had a goal against Clemson in the ACC Tournament semifinals...started as center back in the NCAA College Cup and earned defensive MVP honors of the tournament...was also named All-Tournament at the ACC Tournament and College Cup...Soccer Buzz fourth-team All-America...All-Southeast Region first team by Soccer Buzz and third team by the NSCAA.
Sophomore Season (2005) - Started the final 21 games at either holding center midfield or defensive right back after missing the season's first two games due to injury...played 90 or more minutes in 14 of her 21 starts...notched her only point of the season with an assist on a Jaime Gilbert goal against UAB.
Freshman Season (2004) - Played in 11 games for the Tar Heels, two of which she started...finished the season with two goals and one assist for a total of five points...one of her goals came against Furman and the other was against Miami...named to ACC All-Freshman Team.
Prep -- Graduated in June 2003 from St. Francis Xavier High School...ran track and field for three years there, specializing in the 100 and 200 meters and on relay teams...was the captain of her high school basketball team and played guard on the team for two years...also played volleyball in high school...named to high school honor roll.
