General Information
Strong addition to the midfield corps from North of the Border • has lived in and played soccer all over the Dominion of Canada • has played attacking center midfield, shadow striker and left wing • starting midfielder for the 2008 USL Whitecaps Super Y Northwest Division championship team which went on to place third at the USL North American Championships.

Led championship teams in four different provinces, including the Sherwood Park Rangers, Langley Mustangs, Surry Pegasus, Brampton United FC and Cliff Avenue Synergy • led provincial teams to All-Star National Championships in the U14-U16 ranks • was the youngest player and leading scorer on the 2006 Alberta Summer Games gold-medal winning team with 12 goals and five assists • starting midfielder for regional and provincial championship teams, winning the 2007, 2008 & 2011 Coastal Cups and the 2008 & 2011 Provincial titles • led club teams in scoring in 2005, 2006 and 2007 • partici-pated in Canada Soccer Association training center program in Manitoba.

Attended Langley Secondary School in Langley, British Columbia and Fort Richmond Collegiate in Winnipeg, Manitoba • winner of the 2011 Apps-Allen Scholarship presented by Tiffany Weimer. The scholarship is given to a player who inspires others through their work ethic, determination and will to overcome any obstacle that is put in their way • honor roll recipient all four years of high school • straight "A" student recognition • graduated Magna Cum Laude with a 4.0 GPA.
Personal
Teresa Anania is the daughter of Joe and Carol Anania • was born October 23, 1993 in Winnipeg, Manitoba • sociology major • active in community services projects as a nursing home volunteer and seniors companion, elementary school teacher's assistant and elementary school children tutor • her brother Tony played for the Wolverhampton Wanderers reserve squad • her cousin Luca Anania has had a distinguished career as a goalkeeper in Ital-ian Serie A and Series B team such as Inter Milan and Lecce.

Section #1: Soccer
1. The best thing about being a Tar Heel soccer player is playing for a team with a great history of championships and legendary players.
2. Since last year the aspect of my training I've worked on the most is my shot.
3. My best friend on another college soccer team is Cody Strelau of Trinity Western.
4. My greatest strengths as a soccer player are my vision and passing.
Section #2: Interests
1. Away from the soccer field and academic pursuits I like to spend time drawing, painting, and listening to music.
2. If I could compete in another sport at UNC it would be football because I have always wanted to know what it feels like to be a football player.
3. The music act I'd most like to see in person is Dierks Bentley.
4. The personal interest I have that might surprise my teammates is I love being in the outdoors.
Section #3: Food & Beverage
1. After a game at Fetzer Field, I'd like to see a buffet spread at McCaskill that included sushi, barbecued anything and a lot of fruit.
2. My favorite beverage is pink grapefruit juice.
3. My favorite food made by a relative is anything Italian made by my parents.
4. My favorite guilty pleasure food wise is ice cream.
Section #4: Personality
1. If I possessed the gift of time travel I'd like to go to 2006 and relive when Italy won the World Cup.
2. My most prized personal possession is my 2005 Liverpool jersey autographed by the Champions League winning squad.
3. If I could go to dinner with a famous person it would be Lionel Messi because I have a million questions I want to ask him.
4. My dream job is pro soccer player.
