- Assistant Coach
A 2000 graduate of the University of North Carolina, Erin (Berg) Lindsey returned to her alma mater to serve as assistant coach for the Tar Heels in January of 2005. In her five seasons on the staff (2005-09), UNC earned a share of the Atlantic Coast Conference regular-season crown twice - earning the league's automatic bid in both 2005 and 2008 - and had eight players earn All-ACC honors, including one that was named the ACC Player of the Year in 2005. Lindsey handled just about every duty in the office and on the court, from practice and game-day preparation to recruiting coordinator to player development to travel coordinator.
A native of Honolulu, Hawaii, Lindsey also served as the director of operations for the Carolina Volleyball Camps, Inc. In addition, Lindsey managed to fit in time to be the head coach and director for the Triangle Volleyball Club of Setting Academy for two years, serve as a graduate teaching assistant, and most recently work as a compliance intern at North Carolina while working toward her master's degree in Exercise and Sport Science.
As a student-athlete, Lindsey was a four-year starter and two-time captain at setter for the Tar Heels (1995-98), earning All-ACC honors and AVCA All-Region accolades twice each, plus the 1998 ACC Player of the Year. That year she led the Tar Heels to the ACC regular-season title and the second round of the NCAA Tournament. The program's all-time leader in career assists, Lindsey was named to the ACC's 50th Anniversary Team as one of the greatest players in league history. While completing her bachelor's degree in exercise and sport science, she was on the coaching staff as an undergraduate assistant for the 1999 ACC Champions.
Erin is married to Harold Lindsey, and the couple have a daughter Alexis Ululani and a son Kanoa Daniel.
