Lohse Honored for Lacrosse SID Work by CoSIDA

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. - Dave Lohse, director of media relations for Olympic sports at the University of North Carolina and a member of Carolina's sports information staff since 1977, was honored recently by the College Sports Information Directors of America for his publications work publicizing the Tar Heel men's lacrosse team. It is the 17th award Lohse has received for his men's lacrosse publications at UNC since 1982.
Lohse's 2000 UNC men's lacrosse media guide ranked fifth out of 47 entires in Division A of the CoSIDA 1999-2000 Single Sport Brochures Contest. Army's men's lacrosse media guide won top honors in the contest, followed by Maryland's men's lacrosse brochure in second, Maryland's women's lacrosse brochure in third and California State Northridge's men's volleyball media guide in fourth. Lohse's men's lacrosse brochure ranked fifth, while the Towson men's lacrosse brochure was sixth in the contest and the Maryland field hockey brochure seventh.
