CHAPEL HILL, N.C. - The University of North Carolina men's lacrosse team is ranked #15 in the nation in the first United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association/STX NCAA Division I men's poll of the 2001 campaign.
Coach John Haus' Tar Heels are 2-1 on the season with a 12-7 win over Fairfield and an 11-10 road win against #19 Navy. Carolina has lost to #13 Bucknell, 9-4. This Saturday Carolina plays at Delaware.
Future opponents on the Tar Heels' schedule this year include #3 Maryland, #6 Virginia, #8 Johns Hopkins, #9 Duke and #11 UMBC.
