BALTIMORE, MD. - The following is the Warrior / InsideLacrosse.com Division I Men's Lacrosse Media Poll for March 5, 2001.
North Carolina moved up two spots this week to #16 after beating Navy last Saturday. The Tar Heels play at #22 Delaware this Saturday at 7:30 p.m.
Syracuse maintains its grip on the top spot after a strong win over Virginia with Princeton a close second.
Maryland jumped from No. 6 to No. 3 with its dominating win over Duke, 13-5. Brown rose from No. 19 to No. 12 after demolishing Denver, 16-4. Navy dropped from No. 13 to No. 21 after its second-straight one-goal loss.
Started in 1994 and originally known as the Face-Off Yearbook Media Poll, InsideLacrosse.com took over responsibility for the poll prior to the 2000 season.
The poll will be released weekly during the season shortly following each weekend of games.
