Men's Lacrosse Jumps Five Spots In USILA Poll

BALTIMORE, MD. - The North Carolina men's lacrosse team jumped five spots in the STX/U.S. Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association poll released Monday. Carolina was tied for 19th in last week's ranking and was in danger of falling out of the USILA poll for the first time since 1979.
ut Carolina's 7-5 win over then #4 Virginia last Saturday propelled the Tar Heels up to 14th in this week's ranking. Virginia fell five spots from #4 to #9 after its home loss to the Tar Heels.
North Carolina (5-4) will be on the road again this Saturday when the Tar Heels play #16 UMBC at 7:30 p.m. at UMBC Stadium.
