Tar Heel Golf Team In Sixth Place At Bank of Tennessee Intercollegiate

JONESBOROUGH, TENN. - North Carolina's golf team is in sixth place with a 589 total after two rounds of The Bank of Tennessee Intercollegiate. Wake Forest and Tennessee lead the field of 14 teams with 591 totals. Duke is in third place with a 587 total while Auburn and South Carolina are tied for fourth at 588.
Leif Olson of Duke and Ian Pamaby of Tennessee are tied for the individual lead at four-under-par 170 totals. Olson carded a pair of 70s while Pamaby shot rounds of 68-72. Aron Price of Georgia Southern is alone in third place at two-under 142 while Carolina's Dustin Bray and Tennessee's Lawrence Dodd are tied for fourth place at one-under 143.
ray, coming off a win in his last tournament at The International Collegiate in Scotland, fired rounds of 72-71 for his 143 total. Carolina's Jeremy Elliott tied for 25th place at 148 while Bob Cherry tied for 41st with a 150 total and Ramon Bescansa and Kevin Silva tied for 51st place at 152.
The final round of the 54-hole event will be played Sunday at The Ridges Golf and Country Club which features a par 72 layout.
