CHAPEL HILL, N.C. - With the second half of the Major League Baseball season getting underway today, TarHeelBlue.com takes a look at how Carolina's baseball alumni are doing in the professional ranks, including the three most recent additions, Josh Horton, Benji Johnson and Robert Woodard.
Horton made his professional debut July 8 with the Vancouver Canadians against Woodard's Eugene Emeralds. Woodard picked up his first pro victory that day with 1 1/3 scoreless innings of relief. Johnson is on the roster of the Danville Braves, but has not played as of Wednesday.
With Andrew Miller, who will start for Detroit today in Seattle, and Paul Shuey getting the call up to the big leagues during the first half, five former Tar Heels are on active MLB rosters.

Chris Iannetta, Colorado
Hitting .198 with two home runs, two triples and six doubles in 44 games.
Driven in 15 runs.
Andrew Miller, Detroit
4-2 with a 3.31 ERA in six starts; Struck out 25, including six against Boston in his last start.
Posted wins over the Cardinals, Mets, Braves and Red Sox.
Brian Roberts, Baltimore
Batting .322 with five homers, 19 doubles and 27 RBI in 86 games.
Selected to his second all-star game this season.
Kyle Snyder, Boston
1-1 with a 2.81 ERA in 28 games out of the bullpen.
Struck out 25 in 32 innings.
Paul Shuey, Baltimore
Pitching in the majors for the first time since 2003.
0-1 with one save in eight games.
