Morrissy Swims Career Best On Day Two Of NCAA's

COLUMBUS, OHIO - Kelsey Morrissy swam a career best and Katura Harvey a season best in the day two preliminaries of the 2008 NCAA Division I Women's Swimming & Diving Championship at The Ohio State University.
Morrissy finished 41st in the 200-yard freestyle at 1:47.73, her career best time, bettering her previous personal best at the 2008 ACC Championships. Morrissy's time moved her into fourth place all-time in UNC history in the 200 free behind only Jessi Perruquet, Kari Haag and Richelle Fox.
Whitney Sprague finished 52nd in the 200 free in 1:48.60 and Katura Harvey finished 61st in a season best clocking of 1:49.20.
Sophomore Alison Clemens placed 32nd in the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 1:02.52.
Action will continue Saturday with Sprague and Harvey competing in the 1650-yard freestyle, Morrissy in the 100-yard freestyle and Clemens in the 200-yard breaststroke.
