Three Tar Heels Named Preseason All-ACC

BALTIMORE, MD. - Senior midfielder Ben Hunt, senior goalkeeper Grant Zimmerman and senior midfielder/face-off man Shane Walterhoefer were named Tuesday to the preseason All-Atlantic Coast Conference Team named by Face-Off Yearbook and Inside Lacrosse Magazine. Virginia led the team with four selections while Duke and North Carolina each had three and Maryland two.
As a team, the Tar Heels are predicted to finish third in the ACC with the order being Virginia at No. 1, Maryland at No. 2, North Carolina at No. 3 and Duke at No. 4.
The Tar Heels will host the ACC Tournament for the first time since 2004 when it is played at Kenan Stadium on April 24 and 26.
