Tar Heels To Appear A League High Seven Times On ESPN Family of Networks

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. - Third-ranked North Carolina has been chosen to appear a league-high seven times on the ESPN Family of Networks during the upcoming 2011 collegiate men's lacrosse season. Sixteen ESPN family telecasts will feature ACC teams in 2011 with North Carolina appearing seven times and Virginia, Duke and Maryland five teams each.
A full half of UNC's 14-game regular-season schedule will be featured on ESPNU or ESPN. All three Tar Heel ACC games will be shown including UNC's trip to Virginia on April 9 in a game to be televised on ESPN at Noon. It will mark Carolina's first-ever regular-season appearance on the main ESPN network.
Carolina's two other ACC games will both be on ESPNU. Those games are Duke at UNC on March 17 at 7 p.m. and UNC at Maryland on March 26 at Noon.
Four of Carolina's non-conference games will be televised on ESPNU this coming season. They include North Carolina at Princeton on March 11 at 7 p.m., Dartmouth at North Carolina on March 22 at 7 p.m., North Carolina versus John Hopkins on April 3 at East Rutherford, N.J. at 4:30 p.m. and Notre Dame at North Carolina on May 6 at 8 p.m.
