CSCAA Tabs 13 Tar Heels Scholar All-Americas

RICHMOND, Va. – The University of North Carolina swimming and diving teams placed 13 student-athletes on the College Swimming & Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) Scholar All-American Team for the 2021-22 season.
Eight women and five men were named to this season's CSCAA Scholar All-America list. Six women and two men received first team accolades. To qualify for First-Team Scholar All-America, student-athletes must have earned a GPA of 3.50 or higher and participated in their national championship.
Receiving first team honors were Grace Countie, Amy Dragelin, Lilly Higgs, Heidi Lowe, Olivia Nel and Greer Pattison from the women's team along with Anton Down-Jenkins and Alex Hart on the men's side.
Collecting second team honors were Tucker Burhans, Mia Duus, Alex Mays, Addison Smith and Matt Van Deusen. Second team selections must have also earned a 3.50 GPA or higher and achieved a "B" time standard for the national championship or participated at a diving zone qualification meet.
The Carolina men's and women's swimming and diving programs were both named Spring Scholar All-America Teams on Monday.
