No. 1 Women’s Lacrosse To Battle No. 9 Virginia At Home Saturday

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – The No. 1 University of North Carolina women's lacrosse team will partake in its third top-10 matchup of the season by hosting No. 9 Virginia on Saturday, March 11, at Dorrance Field. First draw is set for 3 p.m. ET and will be aired on ACCNX.
Tickets are available for purchase here. Saturday's game will be a doubleheader with UNC men's lacrosse, and one ticket will gain entry to both events. Fans are encouraged to seek parking in the Bell Tower Deck, Cobb Deck and Raleigh Road Visitor's Lot.

Between the pipes, goalkeeper Alecia Nicholas had nine saves against the Eagles while her 6.27 goals-against average on the year ranks second in the country. Nicholas and Reilly Casey were both recently added to the Tewaaraton Award Watch List, giving UNC a nation-leading six selections.

UNC beat Virginia twice last year: 17-7 in the regular season and 24-2 in the NCAA Second Round. UNC's 24-2 win tied for its largest victory in program history, and Wurzburger had a career-high six assists vs. the Cavaliers in the NCAA Tournament last year.
