Carolina Opens Two-Game FH Weekend Friday At Wake

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – The North Carolina field hockey team kicks off a two-game weekend on Friday with an Atlantic Coast Conference matchup at No. 17 Wake Forest. Game time is 5 p.m. at Kentner Stadium.
The No. 2 Tar Heels are 5-1 overall and 1-0 in ACC play after picking up a home-turf win over No. 4 Louisville last Friday. The matchup is the conference opener for the Demon Deacons (3-2).

UNC steps out of conference for Sunday's game, hosting Appalachian State at noon at Karen Shelton Stadium. In addition to the field hockey action, fans are invited to enjoy Fhockey Fest, which includes:
• Free t-shirts for the first 250 fans
• Pumpkin painting
• T-shirt tie-dye station
• Tailgate games
• Fall donuts courtesy of the Carolina Kids Club
Admission is free to all.
