Pro Heels: NWSL Week Four Roundup

The fourth week of the 2024 National Women's Soccer League season was highlighted by Savy King recording a game-winning assist and Crystal Dunn making her 150th NWSL appearance.
Angel City FC
» Paige Nielsen (2012-15)
Angel City earned a 1-0 victory against the Chicago Red Stars on the road after an own-goal. Nielsen, a defender, was available but did not sub in.
Bay FC

Bay FC secured a 3-2 victory over Seattle Reign FC with King dishing out the game-winning assist in the 87th minute. She sent a short pass to Joelle Anderson near the edge of the box, and Anderson's shot from the left corner deflected and went into the back of the net.
King, a defender, subbed in during the 63rd minute while Bailey, a midfielder, earned the start and logged 82 minutes. Allen was available as a sub but was not used.

Gotham FC battled KC Current to a 1-1 draw in its first home match of the season. Dunn registered a shot on goal just three minutes into the second half, which was ultimately saved. Dunn, a defender, subbed in at the 46th minute. Bell was available as a sub but was not used.
The match marked Dunn's 150th NWSL appearance (regular season, playoffs, Challenge Cup, Fall Series), becoming the 48th player in league history to reach that milestone.
Houston Dash

Houston Dash dropped a 3-1 decision to Washington Spirit at home. Patterson, a forward, earned her third professional start and logged 77 minutes.
Additionally, the Dash welcomed back Kealia Ohai (2010-13) in honor of their 10th anniversary as a club. Ohai, who now goes by Kealia Watt, was the Dash's first-ever NWSL Draft pick in 2014, going No. 2. She played for the Dash from 2014-19 and totaled 28 goals in 114 appearances.
Ohai also made her debut as a sideline analyst during the match.

NC Courage recorded a 2-0 win over Portland Thorns, which is now its best start in the regular season since 2018. Pinto, a midfielder, subbed in during the 87th minute.

Portland Thorns suffered a 2-0 loss to NC Courage. Klingenberg was available as a sub but was not used.
Seattle Reign FC
