CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – Volleyball is back!
The Carolina volleyball team will host its annual Blue & White Scrimmage this Friday, Aug. 23, at 7 p.m. in Carmichael Arena. Like all regular-season home matches, Friday's match is free and open to the public.

This year's roster, made up of 17 players, includes seven new faces, including three true freshmen and four transfers:
The Tar Heels also return six players who made at least five starts a season ago: sophomore setter Zoe Behrendt, graduate outside hitter Emani' Foster, sophomore outside hitter Safi Hampton, junior libero Maddy May, junior middle blocker Sadie Swift and senior outside hitter Mabrey Shaffmaster.
Shaffmaster, a three-time All-ACC and all-region selection, enters her final season with 1,160 career kills, the thirteenth-most in program history.
