Pietramala Named To Tewaaraton Award Watch List

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. - North Carolina men's lacrosse attackman Dominic Pietramala has been named to the 2025 Tewaaraton Award Watch List, announced Thursday.
Pietramala, a redshirt-sophomore for the Tar Heels, joins teammates Owen Duffy and Michael Gianforcaro on the list.
The preeminent honor in college lacrosse, the Tewaaraton Award annually honors the top male and female lacrosse player in the United States. The selection committees are made up of premier collegiate coaches and are appointed annually by the Tewaaraton Foundation.
This spring, Pietramala leads the Tar Heels with 21 goals scored, with his 4.20 goals per game clip leading the Atlantic Coast Conference. Pietramala has scored three-or-more goals in all five games this spring for Carolina.
To begin the 2025 campaign, the Lutherville, Md. product's 21 goals is the most for a Tar Heel through the opening five games of a season this century.
Up next, the Tar Heels host Hofstra on Saturday at 11 AM.
