Mejia Sets Platform School Record, Divers Win Four At VT Invite

CHRISTIANSBURG, Va. – The University of North Carolina divers wrapped up competition at the Virginia Tech Diving Invite Sunday having won four of the six events, while setting a school and pool record. Ciro Mejia set the school record on the platform with a 398.40 in prelims, while Sofia Knight broke the pool record on platform with a 324.40.

Knight also won the 1-meter springboard event and finished second at three meters. Rofolfo Vazquez Montano picked up the Heels other victory over the weekend, takin the 1-meter on Friday.

The program will now ready for the ACC Championships, which start with diving on Sunday, Feb. 15 in Atlanta.
