General: Three-year letterman who serves as tri-captain of the 2005-06 Tar Heels with Jon Albrecht and Josh Glasco...returns as one of the Tar Heels top breaststrokers and distance swimmers...remarkably versatile swimmer...currently 10th all-time on the UNC depth chart in the 200-yard breaststroke...on Carolina's 2004-05 depth he ranked No. 1 in the 200-yard breaststroke and No. 2 in the 400-yard individual medley...swam for Cascade Swim Club.

2004-05: Was a significant Carolina contributor in the breaststroke and individual medley...at the ACC Championships, he placed 13th in the 400-yard individual medley...placed 16th in the 100-yard breaststroke in a personal best 57.50...cracked the top 10 in the 200-yard breaststroke with a 2:02.57 time...was named to the 2005 ACC Academic Honor Roll...earned membership on the fall 2004 Dean's List.

2003-04: Showed very well in his first ACC Championships competing for the Tar Heels as a scoring competitor...took third in the 200-yard breaststroke at 2:01.39, earning All-ACC honors in the process...was ninth in the 1650-yard freestyle at 15:37.54...took 17th in the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 4:31.93...all three times were personal bests for him...was the 2004 recipient of the Jamerson Memorial Most Improved Swimmer Award...one of three Tar Heels to compete at U.S. Senior Nationals in August 2004...took 13th in the 200-meter breaststroke with a time of 2:20.27.

2002-03: Competed in the 2003 ACC Championships as an exhibition swimmer, swimming the 500 free, 1650 free and 200 breaststroke...named to the 2002-03 ACC Academic Honor Roll...tapped for the UNC Dean's List in the fall semester of 2002.

Prep: Graduated from Shorewood High School in June 2002...swam distance events for Cascade swim Club including 500, 1000, 1650 frees, 200 breast and 400 IM...with his high school team he was the team captain his senior year...with club squad he won PNS team championship in summer 2002 and was individual high point PNS scorer in summer 2002...was Shorewood Science Scholar and won Principal's Award.
