Swimmers Excelled In Classroom Last Semester

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. - The University of North Carolina men's and women's swimming and diving teams enjoyed splendid fall semester as 17 of the 31 men and 21 of the 29 women earned grade point averages of 3.0 or above.
Three swimmers earned perfect 4.0 averages. They were Stephen Mohr, Jennie Gardner and Charlene Wong.
The semester GPA for the men's team was 2.9 while for the women 3.1403. The team's cumulative grad point averages as a team rose to 2.871 for the men and 3.0965 for the women.
esides the aforementioned three swimers here is a listing of the other competitors with 3.0 or above averages in the fall of 2001.
