McElduff Drafted By San Francisco Of The MLL

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. - Honors continued to roll in Wednesday for North Carolina senior defenseman Stephen McElduff of Yorktown, N.Y. as he was chosen in the third round of the 2006 Major League Lacrosse draft. McElduff was the third pick of the third round and 24th pick overall. He was chosen by the San Francisco franchise in the 10-team outdoor league that plays its schedule in the summer months.
McElduff was the UNC team's co-Most Valuable Player in 2005. He was a third-team U.S. Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association All-America in 2005 and 2006 and an honorable mention selection in 2004. He was named All-Atlantic Coast Conference in 2006.
McElduff played in 55 career games, starting 54. He had one goal and two assists along with 106 ground balls.
