Six Men's Swimmers Earn All-ACC Academic

Six UNC Men's Swimmers Named All-ACC Academic
GREENSBORO, N.C. - Six University of North Carolina men's swimmers have been named to the 2013 All-ACC Academic Men's Swimming & Diving Team, as announced Monday by Commissioner John Swofford.
Junior J.T. Stilley was named to the All-ACC Academic Team for the third year in a row. Senior Brett Nagle and sophomores David Speese and Patrick Myers were both named to the squad for the second year in a row. First-time honorees from UNC were junior Brad Dillon and sophomore Tyler Hill.
North Carolina tied for having the second most selections to the team. Overall, nine schools are represented on the All-ACC Academic Team, led by Virginia Tech with nine student-athletes. Georgia Tech, North Carolina, and Virginia have six apiece.
To be eligible for consideration for the All-ACC Academic Team, a student-athlete must have earned a 3.00 grade point average for the previous semester and maintained a 3.00 cumulative average during her academic career.
