Congrats and Best Wishes to the Tar Heel Graduates
Several graduating seniors took the opportunity to reflect on their time at UNC and look ahead.
ACADEMICS
Tar Heels Post Outstanding Academic Progress Rates
• Seventeen UNC teams posted four-year APRs of 980 or better.
• Six teams ranked among the top 10 percent nationally.
Academic All-District Honors
• Women's Track and Field: Senior Cameron Overstreet and junior Sarah Howard were named to the women's track and field team
• Women's At-Large: Seniors Gillian Litynski and Loren Shealy and sophomore Hayley Carter were named 12-member at-large team, giving UNC a quarter of the honorees in an extremely competitive category.
• Baseball: Senior Benton Moss was honored for the third year in a row.
• Softball: Senior Lauren Walker was honored following a career-best season.
Baeli-Wang Selected as Phillips Ambassador
Ezra Baeli-Wang, a men's fencing captain, will study in Shanghai this summer as part of the UNC Phillips Ambassadors Program.
UNC Trio Named USILA Scholar All-America
Jake Bailey, Jimmy Bitter and Joey Sankey selected for honor.
CAROLINA OUTREACH
ACC Top Six for Service Awards
Four individuals and two groups were honored for outstanding service in 2014-15.
Tar Heels Enjoy Second Year of Pen Pal Project
The year-long effort, coordinated by football's Nick Weiler, culminated in the opportunity for the pen pals to meet.
